An excellent addition to your naturalized areas or gardens, Frost Aster like all asters, are important pollinator species with the added bonus of seeds produced in the fall for birds and small mammals.  Frost Aster has white petals with a yellow or orange central disk.  The common name is derived from the hairy stems which give the plant a frosted or woolly appearance.  It can rapidly take over disturbed areas and in some parts of the US it can become weedy.
