Plantain-Leaved Pussytoes (A. plantiginifolia) and Prairie Pussytoes (A. neglecta) can be difficult to differentiate.  Primarily, the difference lies with the leaves.  Plantain-Leaved Pussytoes (A. neglecta) has a wider base to their leaves and the venation is more pronounced or prominant.  Both are important members of the Prairie community that flower very early in the season.  This is a rock garden or groundcover plant for us.
