Sharpwing Monkeyflower is an uncommon plant found in soggy, sunny areas.  Some shade can be tolerated, and it spreads by dropped seeds.  Blue to violet flowers are said to resemble a monkey’s face and the stems have a raised, winged edge.  This species has an extended bloom time from June to September.  A fast growing perennial.
