Wild Quinine has a rich history in traditional and non-traditional medicines and remedies.  Used by Native Americans for a variety of ailments, doctors during WWI extracted quinine from this plant to be used as a remedy for malaria.     White flowers top 4′ stems from June through September.  Native bees are attracted to the pollen and nectar produced.
